For those of us who cannot wait to see how to create a working video title with Scenarist, the following section describes one possible method to create a simple title. This method is not a recommended approach in the Scenarist environment. It is described here to demonstrate the flexibility of assemblying video clips with drag-and-drop operations. We now locate the sample video clip 01r.mpg. This video clip is a short NTSC DVD-compliant Mpeg2 file. Drag this video clip from the Windows Explorer and drop it to the title icon as following.

Scenarist creates the first title of the VTS automatically. The title includes an entry program chain (PGC), a program to be used as the first chapter, and a non-seamless cell (NSM) as shown below. The PGC has no commands in its precommand and postcommand section. The cell has no commands and contains the elementary streams of the video clip. A track is created automatically for this video clip. The DVD specifications do not require a video title to contain audio. Without audio, this title is a silent movie.
