The following Simulation Window shows the first subtitle in its actual subpicture
image. You should note that the input color is white for background, black for the
subtitle text (pattern), and blue for edges.
The sample subpicture files contain more than one shades of colors for each major
color group. To help Scenarist pick the color groups correctly, we need to define a
range of colors to be interpreted as one of the principal colors used to display the
subtitles. To define a color range, double click on the desired color in the
Simulation window. The following dialog is displayed if we double click on the Bg
(Color 4) background color item. In the following example, we make the adjustments
so that colors with all color components greater than 240 are interpreted as white.
The following dialog is displayed if we double click on the P (Color 3) pattern color
item. In the following example, we make the adjustments so that colors with all color
components less than 64 are interpreted as black.
Similarly, the following dialog is displayed if we double click on the E1 (Color 2)
or E2 (Color 1) edge color item. In the following example, we make the adjustments
so that colors with the red and green color components less than 32 and the blue color
component greater than 240 are interpreted as blue.
