We need to locate the sixteen bitmap files supplied with this guide (rnd01.jpg to
rnd16.jpg). These pictures are used to build the sixteen 5-second slide shows which
are organized as sixteen chapters of a video title set. We can either drag all
sixteen bitmap files and drop them into the right window pane of the Data Editor tab,
while pressing down the Shift key, or drag one file at a time as shown below. The
Shift key is not needed if dragging one file at a time. We need to create a subfolder
"Images" and make sure that this folder is selected. You should note that if the
selected (highlighted) folder is "Data", the sixteen pictures are stored in the root
folder "Data", not in the subfolder "Images". The cursor changes into an arrow with
a plus sign enclosed in a square to indicate the drag-and-drop operation. You need
to verify that the Information window displays a short message indicating that the
bitmap files were accepted. You may need to display the Asset Manager window (the
window having Data/Tracks tabs) and expand the subfolder "Images" to see that the
sixteen bitmaps are now registered as a part of the asset tree.
During the registration process of each of the above bitmap files, we select the
category "Still Image" for each data item registered. For example, Scenarist displays
the following prompt during the registration of the first bitmap file rnd01.jpg. We
can just check the box "Apply to All" to let Scenarist apply the same attributes to
the remaining bitmaps.
