We can either drag one file at a time or all three together and drop them into the right window pane of the Data Editor tab as shown below, while pressing down the Shift key. You should make sure that the selected folder is "Subpicture".

During the registration process of motiontitle.bmp, we select the category "Still Image" for this data item as following.

The two black-and-white bitmap files (motiontitlemask.bmp and motionroot.bmp) correspond to the title menu and the root menu, respectively. These files are used to construct the required highlight layers for the selection and action highlight of each menu item. The areas covered with white pixels allow the background colors of the corresponding menu page to show through. The areas covered with black pixels act as a display mask to show the selection and action colors. The DVD specifications allow up to four colors in the highlight layers. The picture masks provided by this guide use only two colors (black and white).

During the registration process of each of the above bitmap files, we select the category "Sub-picture with Forced Start" for each data item registered. For example, Scenarist displays the following prompt during the registration of the file motiontitlemask.bmp as shown below. If everything is imported properly without errors, the Information Window shows a message to indicate the acceptance of the files.
