Scenarist can convert the Windows .wav files into Mpeg, PCM Audio, or Digital Dolby
ac3 files. For best results and to avoid unneceesary errors in the process of
registering audio data, the sampling rate of imported audio is recommended at 48 kHz.
The built-in ac3 encoder can produce very compact ac3 files with excellent audio
quality. PCM Audio is stored in the uncompressed format and can take almost 6-7 times
the size of equivalent ac3 files. Note that the following dialog will not appear if
the provided sample ac3 files (01r-2.ac3 and 02r-2.ac3) are dragged instead.
Otherwise, we can click "Apply to All" to convert all audio files to ac3 as following.
After the audio files are converted and registered, expand the Audio folder to check
its contents. Scenarist assigns the name to each audio asset automatically. If you
want to change the name of the audio assets, just click on the item which needs
modification and enter its new name.
We continue to do the same thing for the subpictures by registering these assets in
the subfolder "Subpicture". Locate the three sample files provided with this guide
(motiontitle.bmp, motiontitlemask.bmp, and motionrootmask.bmp). The file
motiontitle.bmp is the title menu background. The other two files are used as the
highlight layers of the title menu and root menu, respectively.
