Scenarist allows a track to have up to 9 angles of videos and up to 8 audio streams.
We can consider each audio stream is an "angle" of the base audio stream. In this
project, there are two audio tracks provided for each video clip. To add audio to
each track, select the video track or scene which you want to assign the
corresponding audio asset. Then drag the appropriate audio asset from the folder
"Audio" and drop it to an empty area between the video display and the scene display.
The first audio stream is labeled Audio 1. To create the second audio stream, click
the icon "New Audio Stream" from the tool bar as shown below. We should also define
the audio language for each audio stream by selecting the appropriate language from
the drop-down box. The default audio language is "Not specified". Most DVD players
display this language code when the Audio button on the remote control is pressed.
The duration of the audio track should be the same as the duration of the video
segment to avoid possible errors during the subsequent layout process. If the
duration of the audio track is a few frames shorter than the duration of the
corresponding video, Scenarist will pad the audio track with its last frame and
issues a warning message. The following picture shows English as the first audio
language and Vietnamese as the second audio language. You will need to repeat this
procedure for the remaining tracks 02r-t and 03r-t.
We now drag the audio asset 01r_1 and drop it to the Audio 1 timeline to create the
first audio language stream. Similarly, we drag the audio asset 01r-2 and drop it to
the Audio 2 timeline to create the second audio stream as following.
