Scenarist creates three separate tracks named 01r-t, 02r-t, and 03r-t which correspond to the three video assets 01r, 02r, and 03r, respectively, as following.

By default, each track consists of one scene. The scene 03r-t-scn, 02r-t-scn, and 01r-t-scn correspond to the video asset 03r-t, 02r-t, and 01r-t, respectively, as shown below. You can change the generated name of a scene or a track by clicking the item and enter the new name of your preference. A scene, by default, has the entire duration of the video clip (asset) which comprises the required chapter. Scenarist allows breaking a scene into many smaller scenes to take advantage of advanced features provided by the DVD specifications. We will exploit this feature in the next guide (by breaking one chapter into smaller subchapters). To continue with this project, we leave everything as is.

We can check the duration of a scene by selecting the appropriate scene as following. The selected scene is highlighted underneath the video track in the Track Editor right window pane. You can click one of the zoom icons on the tool bar to display the time scale of your preference.
