It is time to locate the three MPEG2 sample video clips provided with this guide (01r.mpg, 02r.mg, and 03r.mg). Drag all three video clips and drop them in the right window pane of the Data Editor tab as shown below, while pressing down the Shift key. The Shift key is not needed if dragging one file at a time. Make sure that the selected folder is "Video". Note that if the selected (highlighted) folder is "Data", the three clips are stored in the root folder "Data", not in the subfolder "Video". The cursor changes into an arrow with a plus sign enclosed in a square to indicate the drag-and-drop operation.

The following picture shows various screens to indicate that the three video clips were accepted by Scenarist. There are three icons associated with each video clip displayed in the Data Editor window. If the Information window is not displayed (the window having the General/Build/Simulation… tabs), click the icon on the tool bar to bring it into view. The Information window displays a short message that the 3 video files were accepted. We should also display the Asset Manager window (the window having Data/Tracks tabs) and expand the subfolder "Video" to see that the three video clips were now registered as a part of the asset tree.
