Change the blending mode and text effects.
Double click the appropriate layer from the Layer palette to display the following window to change the Layer style. You can change the blending mode, transparency or opacity of the text, change or add additional text effects such as drop shadow, bevel and emboss, stroke, etc. as following.



Step 4. Save the menu background image. We can save the menu background image in either the uncompressed BMP format or the compressed JPEG file. In this example, the chosen file format is JPEG with high-quality compression. This works well with most photographic images. If you do not have to concern with storage space, using the Windows BMP file format creates less artifacts. The following dialog saves the menu background image as Menu.jpg. We should note that the blue guide lines can be set to visible or invisible since they are not parts of the final saved image.
