So you want to know how to add a hyperlink to your Flash project. Hyperlinks are incredibly common among the web community, and it's possible to use them within Flash, with only a few lines of Actionscript. So, to begin, open Flash. Draw yourself a button or some text. Once you've done that, convert it to a symbol by right clicking it and selecting "Convert To Symbol...". Make sure you select Button from the behaviour list. The code that we will add later on can only be applied to a button, as we want people to be able to click it, to take them to your site.

Using images in Flash is quite difficult. It's not possible to edit specific parts of the image, unless you convert it to a vector image. Doing this will also allow you to zoom in without the image pixelating. So, to start, import your image to the stage by selecting File > Import > Import To Stage... and selecting your image. Your stage should now have your image on. In this example we are using a picture of a car.

The PolyStar (Polygon + Star) Tool is widely overlooked in Flash, because it's only accesible via the Rectangle Tool. You can see on the Rectangular Tool logo that there is a small black arrow pointing downwards. This means that it can be expanded for more options. If you click and hold the mouse button when you select the Rectangle Tool, you will see this small menu appear.
