This page helps you create a spinning effect of a sequence of small letters. The effect scales the width of individual letters and changes the transparency setting to simulate 3D perspective depth. The result is a realistic rotation of letters in three dimensions.

This simple technique can be used to design the animated text portion of a logo design to attract viewer's attention to your message. The image is originally designed at 240 by 60 pixels. For best result, your supplied image should be cropped to the same dimension to avoid scaling artifacts.

The Linux-based ActionScripting engine behind this page generates the graphic file in industry standard Flash swf format that is supported by most modern browsers, and is compatible to all Flash player versions.

All you need to do is to supply the text and choose an appropriate background setting. The final Flash file is generated including appropriate HTML codes with just one click. You do not need to know Flash or program its scripting language. You do not have to use any traditional desktop Flash tools to create this effect.

The following Flash image demonstrates this effect. Place the cursor inside the picture and move it to the left or right to slow down or speed up the speed of the rotation, respectively. This small window is shown as a part of a larger graphic design.

12. Enter the URL of your image/movie clip to use as the movie clip background. Use this option to create a custom background for your spinning letters as a part of a logo design. A valid URL has the form http://www.yourdomain.com/yourimage.jpg.

Images can be stored in either .gif, .jpg or .png format. Only .gif and .png format support true transparency. For your convenience, there are ten small background pictures available, just click on one of the following icons to choose.

If a movie clips is uploaded, the frame rate should be at least 60 frames/second for best result. The uploaded images are automatically removed from the server within one hour.
