DVD-Lab Pro has the auto-route functions to provide the mechanism to automatically highlight the previous or next menu button when the up or down button on the remote control is pressed. You can quickly check out this function via the Remote Control Simulation window. The Simulation window can be toggled on or off by clicking the "Simulation" icon on the tool bar as following. For more customized routing functions such as left and right and looping around (highlighting the last button, if pressing the left or up button on the remote control, while the first button is being highlighted), we have to do manual routing which will be shown in the third guide of this series.

We can change the default color assigment and transparency for each button in DVD-Lab Pro when the button is displayed or highlighted. There are different colors and transparency levels assigned for each state of the button: normal, when the button is displayed; selected, when the button is selected and received its focus; activated, when the button is selected and the Enter key on the remote control is pressed). We can also choose and assign colors from one of the three highlighted button groups from the Map section as following. Each slider in this section controls the level of transparency (leftmost is transparent and righmost is opaque).
