This command sets a temporary level for
PML
(Parental Management Level) function
and branches to a specified command line number if the operation is successful.
The specified parental value to SetTmpPML is used instead of the current contents
of the
system parameter register SPRM13.
The behavior of SetTmpPML is player specific. Most DVD player presents a screen
menu to prompt the viewer to enter a 4-digit password via the digit keypads on the
remote control. If the password is correct, SetTmpPML jumps to the command line
specified as its second operand. If the password is incorrect, the operation is
considered failed and the next command is executed.
SetTmpPML is allowed only in the Video Manager VMG domain. This restriction is
designed so that parental management functions should be verified as soon as the
DVD disc is inserted into the player.
For more information on parental management, read the
Parent Management Level under the
Video Manager VMG guide.
